Survey for on-demand public transportation in Lackawanna County

Hello,

A feasibility study is underway to assess the potential for on-demand public transportation in Lackawanna County.

On-demand public transportation is a flexible, shared-ride service that lets passengers request trips within a designated service area, usually through a smartphone app or by phone.

As part of the study, the project team is seeking input from employers, employees, and residents who live, work, or travel in two potential service areas:

  1. Keyser Valley: Includes parts of West Scranton, Taylor, South Abington, and Clarks Summit
  2. Mid Valley: Includes parts of Dickson City, Throop, Olyphant, Blakely, Jessup, Archbald, and Dunmore

Your feedback will help the project team evaluate how well on-demand public transportation can meet  local transportation needs and improve access to jobs, services, and other destinations in these areas.

We encourage you to complete the brief survey and share it with others in your community.
