LRTP Listening Sessions

The Lackawanna-Luzerne Metropolitan Planning Organization (LLTS MPO) is updating its 20-year regional long-range transportation plan (LRTP). The plan will serve as a blueprint for the region’s decision-making on transportation projects and will serve as a spending plan.  The MPO is inviting residents throughout the two-county region to participate in a series of open houses. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their opinions, interests, and concerns, aimed at improving safety, mobility, and linkages to economic development.  These sessions will provide an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the draft plan document, which is proposed for adoption on January 13, 2026.  The public is welcome to attend the following in-person meetings:

  • Luzerne County: Monday, September 8, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wiltsie Center Auditorium, 3 W 9th St, Hazleton, PA 18201
