Regional Community Forum Summary

Lackawanna and Luzerne County Planning staff along with their consultant Michael Baker International held a regional community forum on July 22, 2020 at 6:00 PM. The regional forum was held for the joint county Comprehensive Plan and Long Range Transportation Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is updated every 10 years and the Long Range Transportation Plan is updated every 5 years. The meeting was represented well by the public with 57 attendees. Teri Ooms, Executive Director of the Institute was the keynote speaker. She discussed demographic and economic data trends for the 2 county region. Following the keynote, the public was presented with 19 polling questions to help shape the plans.
